On February 10, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi, accompanied by Consul General, Erbil Madan Gopal, visited the Halabja Hospital in Iraqi Kurdistan to hand over the consignment of medicines, gifted by the Government of India as part of ‘India for Humanity’ initiative.

Safeen Dizayee, Head of Department of Foreign Relations, Kurdistan Regional Government, delivered keynote remarks. Closing remarks was made by Consul General Madan Gopal. H.E. Fawzi Hariri, President of Diwan, H.E. Omed Xoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Mr. Noori Othman, Chief of Staff to the President & Mr. Shaban Chali, Head of the Office of PM of the Kurdistan Region also graced the occasion.
On January 28, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on H.E. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan.
