On 27 March, Indian culture came alive in Indian Cultural Night, organised by the Embassy in collaboration with Babylon Mall on the occasion of Ramadan.
On March 17, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi attended a memorial event at the Peace Palace in Baghdad to commemorate the anniversary of the 1988 Halabja genocide. Omed Xoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Mr. Noori Othman, Chief of Staff to the President & Mr. Shaban Chali, Head of the Office of PM of the Kurdistan Region also graced the occasion.

On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Baghdad Mall’s Digital Tower, a popular building in the heart of the city, was illuminated in tricolour.
On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, after the singing of the National Anthem, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi read out excerpts from the Hon’ble President of India’s Address to the Nation at the Embassy of India, Baghdad.
The Embassy of India, Baghdad, proudly organized a flag-hoisting ceremony on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India, celebrating India’s constitutional values and achievements.
