On January 28, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on H.E. Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, President of Kurdistan Regional Government.
On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Baghdad Mall’s Digital Tower, a popular building in the heart of the city, was illuminated in tricolour.
On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, after the singing of the National Anthem, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi read out excerpts from the Hon’ble President of India’s Address to the Nation at the Embassy of India, Baghdad.
On the occasion of 76th Republic Day, Embassy of India, Baghdad organized Yoga Convocation Ceremony for successful participants of Yoga courses.
An award ceremony was held at the Al-Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad, where the prestigious ‘Bharat Mitra Samman-Distinguished Alumni 2023’ of ICCR was conferred upon Dr. Muhanad Hatim Hashim Alrakabi by Ambassador Soumen Bagchi.
On January 22, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on H.E. Mr. Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al-Uloom, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, MoFA.
On January 20, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on Dr. Hisham Al Alawi, Undersecretary for Political Planning Affairs, MoFA.
On January 16, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on H.E. Mr. Alkhader Ahmed Marmash, Ambassador of Yemen to Iraq.
On December 04, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on H.E. Mr. Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, Ambassador of Syria to Iraq.
Ambassador Soumen Bagchi visited Basra Governorate, hosted by H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, the Iraqi Foreign Minister, to explore key landmarks, strategic and development projects, as well as tourist and heritage sites in the governorate from December 11-13, 2024, as part of the resident Ambassadors tour organised by Government of Iraq.
On December 03, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi called on H.E. Mr. Ali Al-Habhab, Ambassador of Lebanon to Iraq.
On November 24, Ambassador Soumen Bagchi presented letter of credence to H.E. Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, Hon’ble President of the Republic of Iraq.
Ambassador Soumen Bagchi met H.E. Dr. Hamed Al Jubori, Head of Asia and Australia Department (MOFA) on 15 January 2025. During the meeting, issues of common interest were discussed.
