Visit of Indian  Business Delegation led by CII to Iraq 

[December 16-20, 2018]

            A 23-member  business delegation led by Confederation of Indian Industries, one of the apex  business Chambers of India is visiting Iraq from December 16-20, 2018. The  delegates belong to key infrastructure sectors, including construction,  electricity, steel, petrochemicals, renewable energy, agriculture, chemicals,  water treatment, fire safety, among others. They are going to discuss business  opportunities in various sectors of Iraqi economy with key decision makers of  the Government, Business Chambers and private sector of Iraq during this visit.

            The Indian  business delegation is scheduled to call onsenior dignitaries of Government of  Iraq, including Ministers of Trade;Minister of Health &Environment;  Minister of Oil; Minister ofConstruction& Municipalities; and Deputy  Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Communication, Electricity among  others. They are also scheduled to meet Chairman of Economic Committee of Iraqi  Parliament; Chairman of the National Investment Commission; Chairman of the  Federation of Iraqi Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of the Federation of Iraqi  Industries; Head of Central Bank of Iraq and Trade Bank of Iraq and several  other senior officials in various Ministries and Departments in Baghdad.

            The delegation is  also visiting Erbil for interaction with Government, Chamber of Commerce and  business community of the Kurdistan region.

            This is the third  business delegation from India to Iraq in a span of last one month, including a  40-member delegation for the Baghdad International Fair led by Federation of  Indian Exporters’ Organization (FIEO) and a 25-member delegation in food sector  led by Trade Promotion Council of India last month. This indicates seriousness  of the Indian business community and industry to return to Iraq and to  contribute to the reconstruction and development of post-war Iraq.

زيارة  وفد من رجال الاعمال بقيادة اتحاد الصناعات الهندي الى العراق للفترة من 16-20  كانون الاول

سيزور العراق وفداً من رجال الاعمال  مكون من 23 عضواً بقيادة اتحاد الصناعات الهندية ، أحدى اكبر غرف الاعمال الهندية  للفترة من 16-20 كانون الاول 2018. ينتمي أعضاء الوفد إلى قطاعات البنية التحتية  الرئيسية ، بما في ذلك الإنشاءات والكهرباء والصلب والبتروكيماويات والطاقة  المتجددة ، والزراعة ، والكيماويات ، ومعالجة المياه ، والسلامة من الحرائق ،  وغيرها. وسوف يناقشون الفرص التجارية في مختلف قطاعات الاقتصاد العراقي مع صانعي  القرار الرئيسيين للحكومة وغرف التجارة والقطاع الخاص العراقي خلال هذه الزيارة.

من المقرر أن يلتقي وفد رجال الأعمال  الهندي كبار الشخصيات في حكومة العراق ، بما فيهم وزير التجارة. وزير الصحة  والبيئة. وزير النفط وزير الاعمار والاسكان. ووكلاء وزراء الخارجية والزراعة  والاتصالات والكهرباء وغيرهم. ومن المقرر أيضا أن يلتقون برئيس اللجنة الاقتصادية  في البرلمان العراقي. رئيس الهيئة الوطنية للاستثمار. رئيس اتحاد غرف التجارة  العراقية. رئيس اتحاد الصناعات العراقية. رئيس البنك المركزي العراقي والبنك  العراقي للتجارة والعديد من كبار المسؤولين في مختلف الوزارات والدوائر في بغداد.

كما سيزور الوفد محافظة أربيل للتفاعل  مع الحكومة وغرفة التجارة ومجتمع الأعمال في إقليم كردستان.

هذا هو الوفد التجاري الثالث من الهند  إلى العراق في غضون شهر واحد ، من ضمنهم وفداً مكون من 40 عضوا شارك في معرض بغداد  الدولي بقيادة اتحاد الصادرات الهنديووفد مكون من 25 عضوا من قطاع الأغذية بقيادة  مجلس تعزيز التجارة الهندي الشهر الماضي. وهذا يشير إلى جدية مجتمع الأعمال  والصناعة الهندية بالعودة إلى العراق والمساهمة في إعادة بناء وتنمية العراق ما  بعد الحرب.
